Shakib Al Hasan has left Gemcon Khulna and will travel to USA today for family crisis.
The all-rounder scored 28 runs and accepting a wicket as Gemcon Khulna beat Gazi Group Chattogram in the main qualifier the previous night. They are planned to play the last on Friday against the champs of the second qualifier between Beximco Dhaka and Gazi Group Chattogram, to be played today.
Yet, Shakib won't be accessible for that coordinate as he has just left the group inn and will travel to USA today, affirmed the group's chief Nafees Iqbal.
"Shakib needed to leave (the group) last (Monday) night. His dad in-law has been sick for quite a while. Shakib became acquainted with yesterday that his dad in-law is in a basic condition. Family consistently starts things out and Gemcon Khulna consistently offers inclination to this. So we had no issue in (allowing him to leave). He will fly back (to USA) today," Nafees said in a message shipped off media today.
Shakib had gotten back to serious cricket through the Bangabandhu T20 Cup a month ago after one year's restriction from all types of cricket, forced by the ICC for not revealing a bad methodology from a bookie.
Shakib scored 125 runs and took six wickets in 10 matches he played in the competition.
