Cop shot by ‘drug dealer’ in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur

A cop was shot by a supposed medication dealer in Dhaka's Mohammadpur territory earlier today.

Ujjal Hossain Khan, right hand sub-monitor of Rayerbazar Police Outpost, was accepting therapy at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital with slug wounds in his leg.

Walid Hossain, agent chief (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said the occurrence occurred when a police group completed a drive to capture a medication dealer around 9:30am close to the police station.

Police captured Ibrahim Chowdhury and recuperated a gun and 200 bits of yaba pills from his ownership, the DC said.
